Optimal was founded in 2001 and specializes in additives for seafood and technology linked to the use of additives.

Our production plant and laboratory is located in Iceland.

When developing new blends, we use our pilot plant equipment to imitate full scale production of various seafood to measure functional properties and effect on product quality, yield and capacity in the production. We produce a wide range of food grade blends and design the blends according to laws and regulations for different markets. 

Our aim is to offer different additives and blends that take all these factors into account, as well as price, to be able to present the best possible Optimal solution to all our customers.
